Kaje was started by Kon Emmanouil in 2000 after a gap in the market was discovered for custom made solid timber furniture.

Already working with interior designers and architects manufacturing custom made lounge and chair frames through his high quality craftsmanship (under the banner of Emma-K Timber Components), interior designers started requesting furniture built to specification from Kon. Kaje was born.

Our motto is "imagination is your only limitation" as anything can be built in solid timber, providing you not only with a piece of furniture, but rather a piece of art as a legacy for future generations.

All furniture is made in co-operation and combined with experience from architects and interior designers. Kaje furniture is made in Melbourne from sustained forest timber sourced worldwide.

We are producing award-winning apprentices while teaching them skills of yesteryear.
